I am in a season of change and in seasons of change, writing is my favorite therapy. And while some things are changing, I hope some things never change. I am still as committed as ever to share the rawness and edginess that accompanies adulting, human-ing, wife-ing, motherhood and steady employment.
Yes. The internet is full of content, and I am adding to the heap. My goal is to share encouraging art, stories, prayers and manifestos around my favorite themes of finding hope, faith and love.
But first, the blog name. Rejoice & Be Glad. It is from Psalm 118:24 “This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” It is perfectly okay if you don’t believe in Jesus. If you are reading this, you are alive and I hope you are rejoicing and glad about that. If not, please message me and let's chat! I tattooed the words Rejoice & Be Glad on my forearm years ago after a near-death experience as a reminder to celebrate every day.
My hope is that you believe you were born for good reason. I have a hunch that we are all wandering the earth trying to find our “why”, our purpose...the reason we were put on earth. This blog is dedicated to enthusiastically finding purpose with as much hope, faith and love as I can find along the way and never forgetting to Rejoice & Be Glad.
Lastly, I am also trying to get more serious about my typography. You will be able to order all of the art you see in a variety of sizes and prices starting at $20. My hope is that over time, you will see words that you or someone in your life needs to see in their home or office and you will share these words with them as a gift.
